JACK NICKLAUS TOURNAMENT COURSE AT PGA WEST

The Jack Nicklaus course at PGA West is sure to leave a lasting memory. When you walk out of the beautiful clubhouse your sites are set on the 2 signature holes at the Nick Tourney course #9 & #18 which share an enormous, multi-tiered & undulated green that will surely test your approach shots & putting skills.

Jack Nicklaus loved bombing the ball so he gives you plenty room off the tee to do the same but you better be accurate with your approach shots to these elevated and multi-tiered greens.

New in 2016 the PGA Tour’s Career Builder Challenge moved from the PGA West Nicklaus Private course over to the Nick Tourney course. Imagine playing on the same courses of some of your tour favorites like Phil Mickelson.

THE STADIUM COURSE AT PGA WEST

When you think PGA West (West Coast Home of Golf) the first course that comes to mind is the famous TPC Stadium course. It has been ranked among some of the most difficult courses in the world. Once ranked as the 4th toughest course in America (Golf Digest 2007) this Pete Dye monster will test every aspect of your game.

Don’t let the wide open fairways fool you; danger lurks at every corner, from the deep pot bunkers littering nearly every fairway to the crystal clear blue water hazards every golf shot will be memorable.

The TPC Stadium course came to fame during the 1987 Skins match where Lee Trevino had a hole in one on the 17th hole named “Alcatraz” winning $175K for the shot.

“Golf is not a fair game so why build a course fair” Pete Dye

THE GREG NORMAN COURSE AT PGA WEST

The Norman Course at PGA West is currently one of only three Greg Norman designed course on the West Coast. Come experience this semi private desert oasis which sits on a prehistoric ocean bed 40 feet below sea level. The tightly manicured fairways look as if it’s been rolled out like carpet and the crystal clear blue water will make you think the “Shark” is nearby.

The Norman Course will challenge you accuracy off the tee, as you will want to stay off the desert hardpan that surrounds the entire course. If you find one of the 102 bunkers that litter the course be sure to bring your most lofted wedge or you’ll pay the price with a large number.

The Norman Course at PGA West has some of the purest greens in the valley, this is a must play course on everyone’s bucket list.
